sponge cake recipe

Ingredients:
For the cake:
1 pack pancake mix (400g) - or you can use white cake mix, just follow the instructions in the box
2 eggs
1/4 cup unsalted butter or oil
1 cup milk
For the yema frosting
2 (250g) condensed milk (i used 1 only)
1 whole egg (or 3 eggyolks)
Cheese for garnish


Direction for cake:
1.) Beat the eggs


2.) Add milky


3.) And the butter.. The butter should be melted.. *tip. If the butter is from fridge, you can put it under sunlight to melt. Saves electricity


4.) Next, pour in the pancake mix..you can use cake mix too i just tried using pancake mix.


5.) Mix together.


6.) Then pour in to pan..shake the pan to remove air pockets.


7.) And, since we are going to steam it, cover with foil.


8.) Steam for 40 minutes or until cooked.


9.) You can say its cooked if when you insert a toothpick at the center, it comes out clean. But remember, dont use used toothpick! or else this will become a tartar cake.


10.)  Cut the cake in half...and dont you know, you can cut a cake perfectly using a thread!

Now for the yema frosting
1.) whisk the remaining 1 egg and condensed milk ( i used only 1 can cause i dont want it too sweet..but if you want to make it really extra super special with oozing and overflowing yema, use 2 cans and 2 whole eggs or 6 eggyolks)


2.) Also, the egg will make the yema spreadable..if theres no egg, it will be really hard to spread into the cake. Cook the mixture very slowly in low fire. Make sure to stir constantly to avoid burnik i mean burning the bottom.


NEXT Step
1.) Spread 1/3 into the first slayer.


2.) Now pour everything.

3.) Sprinkle some grated cheese on top.. It will balance the sweetness overload
